We’re searching for an enthusiastic and customer service-oriented leasing coordinator to work under the direction of the Property Manager. The right person must be able to verbally communicate with the team and customers; demonstrate organizational skills and written communication skills (spelling and grammar are ultra important); and have experience with AppFolio, Buildium, or other managing software.
Duties and Responsibilities for Rental Properties:
- Review and process applications within the guidelines of Rogers Property Management.
- Maintain and update guest cards.
- Prepare leases for approval by Management.
- Initiate and maintain property files in accordance with RPM’s policy.
- Collect rent and all other fees and charges when due.
- Process incoming invoices, collect COI and W9 from vendors.
- Review and obtain renters insurance from tenants.
- Review and obtain landlord insurance policies.
- Maintain key log.
- Monitor reports to ensure lease renewals are processed in a timely manner.
- Review reports to ensure late fees are posted in a timely manner. Send proper notice to tenants.
- Follow up on maintenance requests.
- Review monthly task sheet and update Property Manager as needed.
- Prepare inspection notices and coordinate inspections with maintenance.
- Prepare move-out notifications and send move-out checklist to tenants.
- Enter notes in tenant portal to document conversations.
- Tour vacant properties with prospective applicant; must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Effectively communicate with PM — verbal and written.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma — associate’s degree preferred
- Experience preferred, can train right person
- Reliable vehicle and current driver’s license
- Strong communication skills — grammar, spelling, and professional written skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Real estate license or looking to obtain
- Familiar with Fair Housing
Schedule:
- M – Th 9am – 4pm (lunch required 12pm – 1pm) and Friday 9am – 2pm
- Closed on weekends and some holidays
- Work location: in person
